Trust
Your words are private, and delivery is limited to the people you choose.
Words Abide is built for private messages, quiet instructions, and the hard day when they may need to be delivered. This page says what is true today, what is still being reviewed, and who answers if something goes wrong.
Private by design
Files are stored in S3 with SSE-KMS when a KMS key is configured, and production traffic is served over HTTPS. That protects the storage and transport paths. It is not the same as zero-knowledge encryption, so we do not claim staff are technically unable to access content.
You stay in control
You choose the people, the timing, and the messages. You can export your archive from the app with a fresh sign-in, and delivery links are private, unguessable, and noindex.
A person answers
Delivery questions, recipient problems, and bereavement mail are human support matters. The first launch support surface is email, and a person replies.
Hard questions
What if Words Abide shuts down?
If the service shuts down, the public commitment planned for the Terms is at least 180 days of notice, full export access, and the option to schedule immediate release to recipients. The wind-down reserve and dead-founder protocol are not public claims yet because they still need founder truth-check and counsel review.
What if the system gets it wrong?
Words Abide waits through your check-in window and grace window before a release. During that window, the system sends owner-facing verification notices, and an authenticated owner can cancel an active or paused plan. A release is also suppressed if a check-in lands before the release state change completes.
What if I lose access to my account?
Use the normal sign-in and password reset flow first. For sensitive actions such as exporting your data, the app requires a fresh sign-in. If you still cannot get in, contact support from the email address on the account so we can verify the request before making changes.
Can someone demand my messages?
We do not publish a final law-enforcement policy yet. The legal plan is to require valid legal process for law-enforcement requests and to define executor and family-dispute procedures in counsel-reviewed Terms. Until that review is complete, this page will not promise more than the shipped policy supports.
Who is behind this?
Words Abide is built by Alvin under Techno Wizardry while the launch entity is finalized. The founder letter is available for review, with real source input and a real photo, but it still needs final founder sign-off before it should be treated as launch copy.
